Betty Louise Mills Guyer

Mrs. Betty Louise Mills Guyer, 78, of Hagerstown, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, March 5, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Mr. James Morris Guyer, Jr., who preceded her in death on September 3, 2022.

Born February 27, 1947, in Maryland, she was a daughter of the late John Franklin, Sr., and Suzanna Elizabeth Drury Mills.

Mrs. Guyer had previously worked with, prior to retirement, Ravenwood and Avalon Manor Nursing Homes, Maryland Ribbon Company, and the Dollar Tree at Halfway Boulevard, all of Hagerstown.

She was a Christian by faith.

Surviving are her children Sandra K. and James M. Guyer, III, Elizabeth A. Snyder and husband Robert, Tammy L, and Jason Guyer, Sr., and fiancee Michelle Ayers all of Hagerstown; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and sister Lorraine Bigler and husband William, Sr; of Clear Spring, and Catherine Perkins of Hagerstown; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Guyer is preceded in death by brothers John, Jr., Louis, James, and Franklin Mills; and a sister Esther Sword.

The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is assisting the family with arrangements.  Private inurnment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
