David Wayne Rauth

Mr. David Wayne Rauth, 68, of Hagerstown, died early Tuesday morning, September 13, 2023, at Doey’s House, Hospice of Washington County, Hagerstown.  He was the husband of the late Nancy Lee Forsythe Rauth, who preceded him in death February 28, 2023.

Born November 30, 1954, in Hagerstown, David was a son of the late Albert Valentine, Sr, and Katherine Irene Showe Rauth.  He graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1972; and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

Mr Rauth was retired from the Maryland State Highway Administration.

He was of the Christian Faith.

David was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins Football Team.

Surviving are his daughters Melinda White of Hagerstown, and Tracy Gall of Falling Waters, West Virginia; grandchildren Brandie Socks and of Hagerstown, and Tyler Gall of Downsville; and two great grandchildren; his siblings Robert Rauth of Hagerstown, his twin Dennis Rauth of Little River, South Carolina, and William Rauth and Susan Wade, also both of Hagerstown; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents, David was preceded in death by a siblings Albert V. Rauth, Jr. in August, 2022,  and Debra K. Rauth in August, 1961.

Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is assisting the family with arrangements.  Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
