Erma Albright

Mrs. Erma June Albright, 93, of Hagerstown, died Thursday evening, August 29, 2019, at the Village at Robinwood, Hagerstown.  She was the wife of the late Melvin Vernon Albright, who preceded her in death on January 25, 1999.

Born June 8, 1926, in Carlos, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Bella Stevenson Speir.

Mrs. Albright was employed with as a Physical Therapy Aide with Washington County Hospital and Ryan Physical Therapy, Hagerstown.

She was a member of Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are her children, James. H. Albright and wife Kibby of Summerville, South Carolina, Bella Ann Carter and husband Dave of Berlin, and Connie J. Brown and husband Dewayne of Hagerstown; as well as five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Albright was preceded in death by brothers, Allen, James “Butch”, George, and Hugh “Ducky” Speir; and sister Isabelle Skidmore.

The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangements.  The family will receive friends at her church, Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene, 141 North Edgewood Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland  21742, on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, from 12:00 PM until the service begins at 1:00 PM, with her pastor, Rev. Steven L. Johnson, officiating.  Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland  21742; or to her church, Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene.
