Janice Ann Newlon Moats

Mrs. Janice Ann Moats, 65, of Hagerstown, died Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.  She was the wife of the late Roger Lee Moats.

Born February 26, 1958, in Grafton, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Carl George, Sr., and Betty Lou Pumphrey Newlon.

Janice was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who loved her family and animals.

Surviving are her children B. Marie Williams, Salina Ann Zinn, Daniel Ray Newlon; her step-children Melissa Lee Moats, and Randy Eugene and William “Billy” Davis; as well as thirteen grandchildren; an expected great grandchild; and siblings Roy Lee and Kathy Newlon.

In addition to her husband and parents, Janice was preceded in death by brothers David Allen, John Henry and Carl George Newlon.

The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Tuesday, May 16, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  A funeral service will be held graveside on Tuesday, 1:00 PM at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 West Washington Street, Hagerstown.
