Mrs. Patricia C. “Midgie” Long, 65, of 14114 Gossard Mill Road, Hagerstown, died Friday, July 8, 2011, at her residence.

Born June 27, 1946, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Omar “Tommy”, Sr. and Anna Belle “Sis” Wolford Arnsparger.

She was formerly employed by Washington County Hospital; and was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, Class of 1964.

Pat was a member of New Life Christian Ministries.

Surviving is her husband Archie R. Long, her husband of 46 years whom she married on April 30, 1965; a daughter, Angie R. Embly and husband Rob of Clear Spring; two sons, Brian R. Long and wife Terri of Hagerstown, and Darren E. and wife Teresa of Clear Spring; five grandchildren, Courtney M. and Kelsey R. Long, Garrett R. Embley, and Meghan N. and Kalynne M. Long; sisters, Shirley J. Craighead of Fort Orange, Florida, Ruth M. Hammond and husband Leon of Hagerstown, and Debra K. Palmer and husband James of Williamsport; as well as brothers Charles O. Arnsparger, Jr., and wife Celia of Mont Alto, Pennsylvania, Russell L. Arnsparger and wife Darlene and Steve A. Arnsparger and wife Barb, all of Hagerstown.

Friends may call at the Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, Tuesday, July 12, from from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be at the funeral home, Wednesday, July13, at 11:00 AM. Pastor Kenneth Harris will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
