Roy Manning

January 16, 1946 — February 26, 2012

Mr. Roy Roger Manning, 66, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, February 27, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.

Born January 16, 1946, in Hagerstown, he was a son of the late Roger Clark and Irene Ethel Swartz Manning. He served in the U S Army during Vietnam.

Mr. Manning was retired from Spichers Appliances.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marlene E. Sanders Manning, whom he married in 1992; two sons, Donald L. Sanders of Wilmington, Delaware, and Perry L. Sanders of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; as well as siblings Connie L. Reisinger of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, Ione E. Manning of Romney, West Virginia, Helen Bowers and Janet E. McCleaf, both of Hagerstown, and Randy L. and Roger C. Manning, both of Romney, West Virginia; and his loyal and loving companions, Mandy and Savannah.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, March 2, at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown. The Rev. Pete Zerphy will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
